Защото са ми важни първите седем, вторите седем, а и всички останали седем на моите деца… Защото са ми важни първите седем, вторите седем, а и всички останали седем на моите деца!

Аз съм майка на две деца. Също съм и преподавател по английски език. От скоро съм сугестопедагог (преодавам по метода сугестопедия) – и от също толкова време знам защо не съм научила децата си английски и защо никога не съм ги записала на нормален езиков курс.

Защото ученето на езици и много съкровена територия за мен, на която искам да заведа децата си по красивия начин. Искам да им я покажа като забавно пътешествие, на което научават много интересни неща. Искам да не свързват английския с домашна работа, тип „всички нови думи – по три реда в тетрадката”. Защото не искам установеното статукво в образователната ни система да създаде статукво и в съзнанието на децата ми – на нито едно дете, впрочем.

Искам да им покажа, че да се учи е нещо много забавно, интересно и вдъхновяващо. Че ученето няма нищо общо с наказанията, които им налага госпожата в училище, нито с обидното отношение на преподавателите към тях, ограбването от свободата им да избират и поемат по пътя, който им харесва. Че ученето, както и целият им живот, всъщност, е това, което те много добре познават като игра. Мечтая си да ги науча никога да не спират да играят. Сега, след като знам в какво училище децата ми могат да правят първите си стъпки в ученето, имам и своите поне 7 причини да избера сугестопедията като мек посредник между тях и образованието.

Защото…

Защото искам в училище всеки един въпрос и отговор да дава начало на поне още десет такива и безкрайното им детско любопотство да не секва никога.

Защото те знаят как да учат най-добре и къде другате, освен в училище, трябва да бъдат разбрани, добре приети и насърчавани да искат да знаят повече.

Защото всяко дете е различно и може да бъде полезно на себе си и на всички най-вече чрез уникалната комбинация от собствени талани и умения. А не да бъде грубо одялквано, за да влезе в удобната за менажиране рамка. Всеки (малък) човек има своето място сред другите такъв какъвто е съдаден и именно заради това, което е.

Искам сугестопедията за децата си, защото човешкият мозък има безкраен потенциал, който може да се разгръща до края на живота – стига и учителите да го знаят.

Сугестопедията е за (моите) деца, защото ги научава на любов – един към друг и към всички въобще. А това в дългосрочен план има значение за всички, които участваме в това общество.

Сугестопедията дава свобода на всеки да поеме по пътя, по който желае без това да пречи на общия напредък на групата, а точно обратно – като й помага да върви напред дори още по-бързо. Така всеки един вътре в нея се чувства значим и важен. Затова сугестопедията е за моите деца.
